A simple way to define a clear personality is by defining which brand archetype suits your brand. Quick history first about Carl Jungs theory of the collective unconscious.

Carl Jung was a Swiss psychologist who developed the theory of archetypes, which is a set of mental images that are perceived as universal and recurring in our dreams, fantasies, and visions.

These images have been passed down through generations of human history and can be found in all cultures. The 12 archetypes include: Hero, Caregiver, Explorer, Rebel, Lover, Ruler, Magician, Jester, Sage, and Creator.

Step 1

To find your archetype, you first need to know which universal need you are solving. In the center of the Archetype wheel there are 4 basic needs:

  • Provide Structure
  • Explore Spirituality
  • Leave a legacy
  • Pursue Connection

Step 2

When you know which one of these is your brand, it is time to go to the next circle. Here our focus is to see how you will go about delivering the basic need from step 1. There are 3 options linked to every basic need. Once you have landed in how, you will see which Archetype suits you.
